Executive Biography

Ted Cover is President and Operating Partner of Cover & Associates.  With over ten years of executive search experience, Ted has worked on senior level and functional level assignments with clients in the Packaging, Plastics and Paper industries.  Ted has a successful track record of working closely with senior management to pinpoint a client’s needs and surface outstanding candidates to meet those needs.  Cover & Associates specializes in identifying and recruiting top performers in Sales, Marketing and Management roles within the Packaging and Plastics industries.  The firm is in constant touch with the packaging and plastics marketplace.  Therefore, Cover & Associates is able to identify current trends in the industry and pinpoint those individuals who make things happen in today’s challenging business climate.   In addition to Ted’s responsibilities for both client development and search execution, Ted manages the daily operations of the firm.

Prior to founding Cover & Associates, Ted was Director of Executive Recruiting for Internet Capital Group (NASD: ICGE) where he was responsible for executive staffing with the approximately 75 early stage technology companies within the ICG portfolio.  Prior to Internet Capital, Ted was with Korn/Ferry International (NYSE: KFY) where he was responsible for fulfillment of senior level executive searches within their Industrial and Private Equity Practices.  Ted joined Korn/Ferry after working with a boutique search firm where he also specialized in searches for general management and functional heads for sales, marketing, engineering and operations in the packaging industry. 

Prior to his involvement in the executive search field, Ted was an Asset Manager and Workout Officer for a regional commercial bank in Washington, D.C.   Ted holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.   He resides in Greenville, Delaware with his wife, Megan and three daughters.
